Holiday hostel "Tungur"

Our main camp – visit center is located on the riverside of the Katun river, on the northern slopes of the highest mountain range in Altai – the Katunsky. This is a very calm, beautiful place, undisturbed by civilization, far from towns and industries, with thin local population.

Getting to us by car you will see legendary Chuisky Highway, visit Rerih’s places, take pleasure while going over mountain passes. These exciting moments will remain in your memory for a long time. From the nearest airport (Barnaul) you can get to the camp either by car (approximately 700 km) or by helicopter (2-3 hours flight).

In the camp you can be accommodated in comfortable cottages (4 seats), “Pilot” house (5 seats), comfortable hotel built in national style with 5 two-seater rooms and a wide hall. In summer you can be as well accommodated in ayils (yurts) – national houses or cozy two-seater cabins. There is a restaurant built in national style for food, rest and celebrations. Restaurant and bar work round-the-clock (Russian and Altaian cuisine, bespoke dishes). Any time our guests can order hot Russian bathhouse. The altitude of Tungur is 850 m above sea level.
